Visakhapatnam: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu attended the book launch of ‘World History’, authored by former minister and MP Daggubati Venkateswara Rao, at GITAM University here.

Speaking at the event, Naidu said, “Every home and library should have a copy of World History. The book covered various aspects like ancient traditions, food habits and agriculture.”

The book also explained language, arts, architecture, social justice, land reforms, monarchy and governance in Andhra Pradesh.

CM Naidu described Daggubati Venkateswara Rao as a distinguished member of his family who thought deeply about every subject. He recalled that both had learned valuable lessons from NTR, who had inspired them. He added that they had carried out responsibilities assigned by NTR with dedication.

Doctor by profession

Venkateswara Rao, who is a doctor by profession, chose to serve as a minister instead of practicing medicine. He recalled that he had served as an MLA five times, as a minister, and as a Member of Parliament.

Venkateswara Rao had written five books so far. He said that the first book was ‘Some Truths in History’, followed by ‘History of Telugu People – Separation Movements’, ‘World Philosophy and Leadership’, and ‘Governance Systems of World Nations’.

Support for Andhra Pradesh’s development

The chief minister said that women are more hardworking than men and praised finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman for her dedication. He noted that she was born into an ordinary family and had risen step by step in the BJP. He recalled that in 2014, she was elected to the Rajya Sabha from Andhra Pradesh and took on ministerial responsibilities.




He stated that she tirelessly worked towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision and has presented the Union Budget eight times consecutively. He pointed out that in 2014, India’s economy was ranked 10th in the world and had now moved up to the 5th position, with expectations of reaching 3rd place soon.
