Hyderabad: The Telangana State education minister Sabita Indrareddy on Monday announced that the EAMCET (Engineering) entrance test will be held on August 4, 5, 6 and the EAMCET (Agriculture, Medical) entrance test will be held on August 9, 10. The minister also released dates for several other entrance exams. The Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test is scheduled to take place from August 11 to 14.
Similarly, the Polytechnic Common Entrance Test will be held on July 17. However, there is no change in the exam dates of ICET, LAWCET and EdCET. As decided earlier, the ICET is on August 19 and 20, LAWCET on August 23 and EdCET 24 and 25.
Sandeep Kumar Sultania, secretary, education department, college education commissioner Naveen Mistal, state higher education council chairman Prof Papireddy and vice-chairman Prof R.S. Limbadri held a review meeting with Sabita Indrareddy.
The minister said the government has decided to conduct these tests in accordance with the COVID-19 guidelines.
The minister also said that the final year exams for the current students in colleges should be completed by July. Engineering, PG, Degree, Diploma Final year exams are scheduled to start in the first week of July and should be completed by the end of the month. The authorities have also ordered that the backlogs of final year students be allowed to be completed by the end of July.
