Hyderabad: Nizam College awarded ‘A’ grade by NAAC

Hyderabad: Nizam College has been awarded an ‘A’ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), marking an achievement in the institution’s academic journey.

NAAC evaluation process

The NAAC accreditation process involved a thorough assessment of the college’s academic curriculum, infrastructure, teaching methodologies, student services and governance. The ‘A’ grade is expected to strengthen Nizam College’s standing as a premier educational institution and attract more students seeking quality higher education.

Statements from college leadership

Nizam College principal, Prof AV Rajashekhar, expressed pride in the achievement, stating, “This ‘A’ grade is a reflection of the hard work, dedication and collective effort of all the members of the college. With the advice of the NAAC team, we are deeply committed to maintaining the highest academic standards and continuing to provide an environment that fosters both intellectual and personal growth.”




Vice Principal Dr Renuka acknowledged the contributions of faculty, staff and students, saying, “This accreditation is a result of the tireless efforts of our faculty, staff and students, and it motivates us to raise the standards even higher.”

Dr Melissa Helen, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) coordinator, highlighted the role of the IQAC in the process, stating, “The ‘A’ grade awarded by NAAC is a result of the rigorous evaluation and the consistent pursuit of quality by our entire team. This is a proud moment for the entire Nizam College community.”

Faculty contributions recognised

The college leadership acknowledged the contributions of department heads, faculty members and non-teaching staff. Dr Radhika from the Chemistry department emphasised the importance of faculty and students in this achievement, stating, “Our faculty and students are the backbone of our success.”

As a constituent college of Osmania University, Nizam College offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs across various disciplines, including humanities, science, engineering, law, social sciences and commerce. The institution is known for its research-driven approach and emphasis on innovation in education.
