Hyderabad: TConsult to train 10,000 youth in semiconductor manufacturing
The training will include six months of hands-on skilling in Telangana

Hyderabad : TConsult, a global teleconsulting and skilling platform, has launched a new initiative to train 10,000 youth in semiconductor manufacturing and design by 2030. This vision is backed by international partners and fully supported by the Telangana government.
The announcement was made during a high-level meeting at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Telangana Secretariat, where Telangana IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu met with Ken Khoo, CEO of Malaysia-based Spring Semiconductors, and Sundeep Kumar Makthala, Chairman of TConsult.
International expertise, local impact
TConsult, in collaboration with Spring Semiconductors, will lead the effort to design and implement a globally benchmarked training program, preparing Telanganaās youth for the fast-growing global semiconductor industry. The training will include six months of hands-on skilling in Telangana, followed by six months of global exposure in leading chip manufacturing ecosystems such as Taiwan, South Korea, and Japan.
āThis is not just a skilling program; itās a movement to empower our youth with deep-tech capabilities,ā said Sundeep Kumar Makthala, Chairman of TConsult. āOur goal is to place Telangana at the center of the global semiconductor workforce map.ā
A strong push from the government
Minister Sridhar Babu welcomed the collaboration and reiterated the stateās mission to position Telangana as the global epicenter of skilled talent under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
āOur youth are our strength. With the support of industry leaders like TConsult and Spring Semiconductors, we are taking definitive steps to make Telangana the Skill Capital of the Globe,ā said the Minister. He emphasized that the Young India Skills University will serve as the anchor institution for such transformative programs.
The Minister also acknowledged the interest shown by UK-based semiconductor leader Arm Holdings, calling their engagement āa reflection of Telanganaās credibility and industry-ready ecosystem.ā Armās possible entry into Telangana would accelerate high-end chip design, IP creation, and global R&D collaboration.
Global collaboration for a future-ready workforce
Ken Khoo, who played a key role in bringing Arm Holdings to Malaysia, pledged full support to Telanganaās vision.
āWe are inspired by the Telangana governmentās focus on skills and talent. Spring Semiconductors, with TConsult, will ensure that the curriculum and training models match the highest international standards,ā said Khoo.

Also present at the meeting were Maruthi, President of World Telugu Information Technology Council (WTITC), Malaysia Chapter, Mahesh Nataraj, and Vakiti Bhagyalakshmi, who expressed their strong commitment to Telanganaās talent-first approach in deep-tech industries.
