Hyderabad: In a significant boost to India’s biotech innovation ecosystem, Thermo Fisher Scientific, a global leader in scientific research solutions, has inaugurated the country’s first bioincubator-integrated fast-track research supply center at ASPIRE-BioNEST, University of Hyderabad (UoH).
This pioneering initiative is part of Thermo Fisher’s broader effort to support Centres of Excellence (CoEs) across India, with ASPIRE-BioNEST being one of four prestigious centers selected.
The center will provide real-time access to essential lab reagents, consumables, and scientific tools, significantly reducing wait times and accelerating research workflows for startups, academic researchers, and nearby institutions like TIFR, NIAB, and IIL.

ASPIRE-BioNEST is already recognized for nurturing early-stage biotech startups with state-of-the-art lab infrastructure, expert mentorship, and a dynamic innovation ecosystem.
The addition of the supply center is expected to further streamline R&D operations, foster industry-academia collaboration, and strengthen the local research infrastructure.
The facility was inaugurated by Prof. Rajagopal, Director of ASPIRE-BioNEST, along with Jacqueline Ng from Thermo Fisher Scientific, and other key stakeholders.
The initiative represents a strategic move toward creating a more responsive and innovation-friendly ecosystem in Hyderabad and beyond.
