Hyderabad: The 17th edition of the iconic Jaipur Literature Festival is going to be organised from February 1 to 5 2024. The team behind Teamwork Arts is going to organise the event at the historic Hotel Clarks Amer in Jaipur.

One of the hallmarks of the annual Jaipur Literature Festival is its celebration of linguistic diversity. This year’s program also promises to deliver a broad spectrum of languages, including Assamese, Hindi, Kannada, Kashmiri, Malayalam, Marathi, Odiya, Punjabi, Tamil, Urdu, and many more.

Celebrating linguistic diversity

The theme of the upcoming edition of the festival is ‘Stories Unite Us’, which seeks to explore the transformative power of literature, how it reflects society, and its ability to bring people together. Despite its growth over the years, the Jaipur Literature Festival remains committed to its core values: serving as a democratic, non-aligned platform that upholds inclusivity and freedom of speech through diverse conversations across four venues, featuring over 300 speakers.

Author and co-director of the Jaipur Literature Festival, Namita Gokhale, reflects on the festival’s essence, saying, “The 2024 edition of the Jaipur Literature Festival will bring our living library of ideas, books, and writers into the hearts and minds of book lovers from around the world. A vintage year, with classic themes and stimulating contemporary interpretations.”

Sanjoy K Roy, managing director of Teamwork Arts, said, “The 17th edition of the Jaipur Literature Festival will focus on Indian literature and the celebration of diverse voices.”

The festival’s B2B arm, Jaipur BookMark (JBM), will be celebrating its 10th edition. It serves as a global hub where literary creativity meets industry innovation, fostering networking and deal-making opportunities for publishers, authors, and literary enthusiasts. Additionally, the festival hosts the Jaipur Music Stage, running parallel to the literary events, providing a cultural and artistic experience beyond the written word.

For those eager to participate, registration and access to the festival are available starting at just Rs 200 per day. Attendees can also choose to become a ‘Friend of the Festival’, which offers access to the best of Jaipur hospitality and festival offerings, ensuring a special and enriching experience at every turn.
