New Udbhav School Campus launched for underprivileged children in Fatehnagar

Hyderabad: A new campus of Udbhav School, dedicated to providing quality education to underprivileged children, was inaugurated on Wednesday at Shastri Nagar in Fatehnagar, Hyderabad.

The initiative, undertaken by the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad Alumni Association – Hyderabad Charitable Trust (IIMAA HCT), was formally inaugurated by Telangana Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao and Director General of Police, Dr. Jitender.

Retired IPS officer S.V. Ramanamurthy and fellow IIMA alumni and board trustees—Shanmukh, Harish Kumar, Sitaram, and Sri Harsha—have collectively taken the initiative to establish the school as part of their commitment to societal development.




The Udbhav School aims to impart quality, value-based education from LKG to Class X, with a particular focus on children from the slum areas of Rasoolpura and Fatehnagar.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao lauded the effort and said that education is the highest form of service to society. Recalling his schooling in a similar setup, he emphasized the transformative power of education. He expressed hope that Udbhav School would nurture the hidden potential of children and enable them to lead successful and meaningful lives. He reiterated his support for initiatives aimed at the betterment of underprivileged students.

Director General of Police Dr. Jitender underscored the importance of identifying and nurturing the innate talents of students, likening it to the legendary strength of Hanuman, which was revealed only upon realization. He praised the IIMA alumni for their commitment to creating a brighter future for children through this noble educational endeavor.

R. Ravi Kumar, President of the Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI), commended the initiative, stating that the new Fatehnagar campus would serve as a beacon of hope for slum children and a symbol of inclusive education.

Shivakumar, speaking at the event, announced that the school would follow the Telangana State Board syllabus and provide education from LKG to Class X, emphasizing the institution’s focus on value-based learning.

T. Muralidharan, Chairman of the Fundraising Committee, highlighted the achievements of the Udbhav Schools network. He informed that, including the newly established campus, Udbhav schools currently serve 1,086 students with the support of 55 teachers, 3 principals, and 11 support staff.

During the program, the Chief Secretary and DGP also felicitated key partners and supporters of the initiative, including representatives from Coromandel, EY, Signode, RBL Bank, and Nadam Chemicals, along with individuals such as Shanta Vallury Gandhi, Jasmeet Singh, Veereshwar, Ranga Kota, and Tirumala Rao for their valuable contributions.
