Look North: Sri Venkateswara Vedic University to start off-campus at Rishikesh

Tirupati: TTD-run Sri Venkateswara Vedic University is all set to start off-campus at Rishikesh. It is the only varsity recognized by the UGC.
TTD Trust Board Chairman YV Subba Reddy said: "TTD is contemplating to commence to start off-campus in Rishikesh soon. With an aim to enhance the strength of students in Vedic studies, TTD has decided to commence Purana Pravachanam, Yoga, Dhyanam, and other occult sciences as certificate courses ".
The executive committee meeting has also decided to conduct the Seventh Convocation of SVVU on April 28.
Adarsha Veda Gurukula resumes
Subba Reddy said Adarsha Veda Gurukula Education resumed in the varsity which was closed during the Covid pandemic. "Health scheme will be henceforth implied to the regular employees of Vedic Varsity also", he added.
In an academic year, 40 Vedic students shall be selected for research. During the convocation, two exponents will be awarded Maha Mahopadhyaya and another two with Vachaspathi titles.
The EC meeting has also decided to perform Sri Satyanarayana Swamy Vratam in 59 important and major temples located in Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana on every Pournami day in a month.
