NTA postpones April session of JEE(Main) examination
In view of the surge in Coronavirus cases, the National Testing Agency on Sunday announced to postpone the JEE(Main) examination scheduled on 27, 28, and 30 April 2021.

The revised dates for the JEE(Main)- April 2021 session will be announced later on and at least 15 days before the examination.
The NTA has already conducted two sessions of JEE(Main), one in the February session in which 6,20,978 candidates had appeared and another in March session in which 5,56,248 candidates had appeared.

Telangana cancels class X SSC exams
Earlier on Thursday, the Telangana government cancelled the Secondary School Certificate board examination for the academic year 2020-21 in view of an unprecedented surge in Covid-19 cases. This decision was taken following a meeting with the Education minister and top officials from the department on April 15.
"Considering the present pandemic situation prevailing in the State and also keeping in view of the CBSE notification dated April 14, 2021, Government hereby cancels all 10th class Exams to be held from May 17, 2021," said Chitra Ramchandran, Special Secretary to Government.
She added that the results of class X students will be prepared on the basis of Objective criteria to be developed by the SSC Board, Telangana at a later date."Any candidate not satisfied with the marks allotted will be given an opportunity to sit in an exam as and when the conditions are conducive,' said the special secretary.
CBSE Examination
The Central Government on April 14 cancelled the Central Board of Secondary Education(CBSE) Class X exam while postponed the class XII exam.
The Education Minister Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said "the Board Exams for Class XIIth to be held from May 4th to June 14th, 2021 are postponed. Whereas, the Board Exams for Class Xth to be held from 4th May to June 14th 2021 are hereby cancelled." The results of Class Xth Board will be prepared on the basis of an objective criterion to be developed by the Board.
For class XII, The situation will be reviewed on 1st June 2021 by the Board, and details will be shared subsequently. A notice of at least 15 days will be given before the start of the examinations.
PG-NEET postponed
The central government on April 15 announced to postpone NEET-PG 2021 examination. The exam was scheduled to be held on April 18, 2021.
The next date would be decided later, said Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan on Twitter. "Decision has been taken keeping the well being of our young medical students in mind," he wrote on the micro-blogging site.
CISCE deferred examination
The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) on 16 April announced that ICSE, class X examinations, and ISC, class 12 examinations, have been deferred for the time being due to the pandemic.
The exams were scheduled to be held from 4 May.
The new dates will be announced later after taking stock of the situation, the Council said on Friday.
In its notice, Council secretary Gerry Arathoon clarified that while class 12 exams will be held at a later date, class 10 students can choose to not appear in the exam at all when the offline exam takes place later. In that case, a fair and unbiased criterion will be developed for the evaluation. But those who want to write the exams can do so when new dates for the offline exams are announced.
