Osmania University VC Prof Kumar launches MSc Data Science program in Siddipet

Hyderabad: Osmania University is committed to strengthening academic infrastructure and expanding opportunities for students, said vice-chancellor Prof Kumar Molugaram during his visit to the OU District Postgraduate Centre in Siddipet.

During the visit, Prof Kumar engaged with faculty and students, assuring them of the university’s dedication to providing essential facilities that support academic growth and student well-being. He emphasised that efforts are underway to bolster skill development programs, aligning them with current industry needs.

A key highlight of the visit was the announcement of a new MSc Data Science program, which will soon be introduced at the Siddipet centre. Prof Kumar also mentioned that the university is considering increasing the intake for MBA, MCA and MSc Chemistry programs in response to rising demand in these disciplines.

Later, the university delegation paid a courtesy call to Siddipet district collector, Manu Choudhary, to discuss infrastructure-related proposals concerning the PG Centre.

Prof Kumar conveyed that the collector responded positively and assured support for the construction of a connecting road from the main highway to the college campus, installation of street lighting along the access route, and provision of safe drinking water facilities on campus.

The university expressed its sincere gratitude for the district collector’s proactive support.
