SEED grants scholarships to 586 MANUU students; each to get Rs 10k-20k

SEED grants scholarships to 586 MANUU students; each to get Rs 10k-20k.

Hyderabad: A total of 586 students of Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) have received scholarships from SEED (Support for Educational and Economic Development), US.

The scholarship distribution ceremony was held on Monday in the auditorium of the University.

The scholarships were sponsored by SEED with the support of The Quran Foundation, Hyderabad, and Helping Hand Foundation Hyderabad. The total amount of the scholarships is Rs. 73.9 lakh.




Speaking at the event, Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice-Chancellor of MANUU, said: “The students have excellent abilities and they just need a better academic environment and adequate facilities so that they can make full use of their potential”.

He advised the students to take advantage of the scholarships and make their name along with MANUU.

Syed Mazheruddin Hussaini, Executive Director, SEED said, “Education is our first priority and employment is second. It is the responsibility of the students to improve their careers through self-confidence, hard work, sincerity, and with proper use of time. Support your family and society by getting good employment.”

Prof. Ishtiaque Ahmed, Registrar of MANUU, praised the efforts of Prof. Syed Alim Ashraf for facilitating the SEED scholarship for MANUU students. He said that the scholarships will be very useful for the students.

Speaking to NewsMeter, Mujtaba Hasan Askari, Director of Helping Hand Foundation, said: “MANUU campuses have been selected for these scholarships, based on their academic performance and financial backgrounds. Each student received between Rs 10,000 and Rs 20,000. The scholarships will help the students to continue their education and pursue their dreams, and also help to reduce the financial burden on the students' families.”
