Nalgonda: The stage is all set for launching the ₹200 crore Young India Integrated Residential School (YIIRS) project in Nalgonda on August 4.
The schools are designed to provide quality education and skill development opportunities for underprivileged students.
Minister for Roads and Buildings Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, who is from Nalgonda district, said the government is committed to transforming the educational landscape for backward classes, scheduled caste and scheduled tribes, and minority communities in the state.
Minister Venkat Reddy, speaking after a review meeting with departmental officials and consultants in Hyderabad, highlighted that the YIIRS project is a flagship initiative. "World-class education for the underprivileged is our government’s commitment," he stated.
The ambitious project will span 22 acres and feature a built-up area exceeding 5.36 lakh square feet. The campus design includes academic blocks, residential quarters for both staff and students, a dedicated skill development center, a modern theatre, and comprehensive sports facilities with a playground. These amenities are planned to meet global standards, comparable to leading corporate educational institutions.
The Minister emphasized the stringent 18-month deadline for the project's completion, directing officials to ensure the highest standards of construction quality. He expressed confidence that the institution would be a "game changer for students from poor and marginalized backgrounds," providing them with access to high-quality education and global-standard skill development to significantly improve their lives.
In addition to the YIIRS foundation stone laying, the newly constructed Minister’s Camp Office in Nalgonda will also be inaugurated on August 4th.
Minister Venkat Reddy urged officials to personally monitor the project's progress to ensure timely and quality execution. He also extended his gratitude to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for sanctioning the school project in Nalgonda.
