Telangana: Educational institutions to reopen from February 1
Amid concerns over Omicron, the Telangana government on January 3 had decided to close all educational institutions from January 8 to 16. Later, the holidays were extended till January 31.

Hyderabad: Telangana government on January 29 decided to reopen all educational institutions in the state from February 1. Minister for Education Sabitha Indra Reddy announced that all educational institutions in Telangana will reopen on February 1.
The Telangana High Court, on January 28 had questioned the rationale behind the state government's decision to reopen schools from February 1 while declaring holidays for universities and colleges as part outfits measures to curb the rampant spread of Omicron variant.
Amid concerns over Omicron, the Telangana government on January 3 had decided to close all educational institutions from January 8 to 16. Later, considering the increasing number of cases, the holidays were extended till January 31.
