Telangana to implement Right of Children to free education from 2025
Section 121 C of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act 2009 mandates that at least 25% of the admissions in Class I and Pre-School Education

Hyderabad: Telangana government has assured the High Court that the mandated contents in Section 121C of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education (RCFCE) Act, 2009 will be implemented from the next academic session.
Assistant Government Pleader Madhuri told a division bench of Chief Justice Alok Aradhe and Justice J. Sreenivas that the state government will implement the mandated contents in Section 121C of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009.
She also noted that it will be implemented in all the private schools across the state from the next academic session 2025-26.
The court recorded the contention of the AGP, who informed the Court that the above mandatory section of the Act would be implemented in the second week of April 2025.
The Division Bench was adjudicating the PIL filed by Thandava Yogesh, an advocate from Gowthavaram Racherla Mandal, Prakasam District, AP.
He was aggrieved as the state government had not implemented Section 121 C of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act 2009, which prescribes mandatorily reserving 25 per cent of admissions in Class-I and Pre-School Education, in all Private Schools to the students who belong to economically weaker sections and disadvantaged group of the society.
Section 121 C of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act 2009 mandates that at least 25% of the admissions in Class I and Pre-School Education, is extended to the minor kids, who belong to weaker sections and disadvantaged groups in All Private Schools.
