TGPSC Group-2 recruitment: 777 candidates selected in 1:1 ratio for 783 posts
Hyderabad: Telangana State Public Service Commission (TGPSC) has released the merit list for Group-2 recruitment and announced the schedule for the certificate verification of shortlisted candidates.
A total of 777 candidates have been selected in a 1:1 ratio for 783 available posts, including two candidates under the sports quota. The document verification process will be conducted from May 29 to June 10 at Suravaram Pratap Reddy University, located in Public Gardens, Nampally, Hyderabad.
The verification will take place in two sessions daily, from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm and 2:00 pm to 5:30 pm. Candidates who are unable to submit all required documents during their scheduled slot will be given a final opportunity on June 11. However, the commission has made it clear that no certificates will be accepted after 5:30 pm on June 11.
TGPSC has also directed candidates to exercise their web options carefully between May 27 and June 11 through the official website. These options will play a crucial role in the final selection process.
āAdditionally, candidates who qualified for eight Sub-Inspector posts in the Prohibition and Excise Department will undergo mandatory medical examinations. A detailed, day-wise schedule for certificate verification will be made available on the commissionās website starting May 26, ā said TGPSC secretary Dr Naveen Nicolas.
In cases where candidates fail to attend the verification or do not submit web options, TSPSC will consider the next eligible candidates from the merit list for the verification process, he added.
The Group-2 written examination was held on December 15 and 16, 2024. Out of 5.5 lakh applicants, approximately 2.5 lakh candidates appeared. Due to issues such as incorrect bubbling on OMR sheets, 13,315 candidates were disqualified, and the general rank list for 2,36,649 candidates was released on March 11, 2025.
TGPSCās swift action in publishing the merit list within three months of the examination has been widely noted.
