TGPSC makes OTR update mandatory for all candidates ahead of new recruitment notifications

Hyderabad: The Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) has made it mandatory for all registered candidates to update and validate their One Time Registration (OTR) details, warning that failure to do so will affect eligibility for upcoming recruitment notifications.

Fresh recruitments on the anvil

TGPSC chairman Burra Venkatesham on Monday announced that the Commission has completed the selection process for all pending recruitment notifications and is preparing to issue new notifications shortly.

To ensure faster recruitment cycles, early declaration of results and timely appointment orders, TGPSC has decided to rely strictly on validated OTR data for all future processes, he added.

Why OTR updation is required

The decision follows recent developments such as the Scheduled Castes categorisation, the acquisition of new educational qualifications by candidates and multiple requests for correction of personal details.

TGPSC aims to avoid delays caused by data discrepancies and incomplete documentation. At present, about 31.56 lakh candidates are registered in the OTR system.

The Commission clarified that applications, results and final selections for all future recruitments will be processed only based on OTR data.

Mandatory OTR update: What candidates must do

All registered candidates are required to:

- Verify the accuracy of personal, educational and category details

- Update all eligible and additional educational qualifications

- Upload all relevant certificates, including a latest colour passport-size photograph

Updation schedule and website

OTR updation, which began on January 19, has now been extended up to February 25. Candidates can update their details through the official website: www.tgpsc.gov.in

Key instructions from TGPSC

1. Each candidate must have only one OTR, which remains valid until cancelled by the Commission or the candidate

2. Except for additional qualifications, correspondence address, EWS status, Non-Creamy Layer details, mobile number and email ID, all other fields are non-editable

3. Candidates with multiple qualifications must update all details and upload supporting certificates

4. Information provided in the OTR will be treated as final and primary data for all future recruitments

Non-compliance will affect eligibility

TGPSC cautioned that only candidates who complete OTR updation and upload the required certificates within the stipulated period will be allowed to apply for forthcoming recruitment notifications. Non-compliance will directly impact eligibility.
