TS High Court refuses to interfere in first-year intermediate exams case

TS High Court refuses to interfere in first-year intermediate exams case

Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court on Friday refused to interfere in the issue of conducting of the first-year intermediate examinations. It gave the verdict after hearing a motion petition filed by the Telangana Parents Association urging the court to cancel the inter first-year examinations as the students were promoted.

The court questioned how the petition could be filed just three days before the examination and refused to hear the case.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Telangana government on 15 April 2021 had announced promoting all first-year students to the second year without conducting the examinations. It was also informed that examinations would be held when it was possible at a future date and the schedule would be announced at least 15 days before the exams. Later, the state government had announced the dates for the inter first-year exams.
