TS inter results: Medchal, Asifabad, Hanamkonda top districts with highest pass percentage

TS inter results: Medchal, Asifabad, Hanamkonda top districts with highest pass percentage

Hyderabad: The Telangana intermediate exam results were announced on 28 June and Medchal Malkajgiri district has recorded the highest pass percentage in both first and second-year exams.

In the first-year intermediate results, Medchal secured 76% pass percentage and in the second year, the district secured a pass percentage of 78%.

First-year results

In the first-year intermediate results, Hanamkonda got the second-highest pass percentage of 74% followed by Komaram Bheem Asifabad with a pass percentage of 72%. Among the top 10 districts with the highest pass percentages are Mulugu (70%), Khammam (69%), Karimnagar (69%), Bhadradri Kothagudem (66%), Adilabad (64%), and Hyderabad-III (63%).

Second-year results

In the second-year intermediate results, Komaram Bheem Asifabad and Hanamkonda secured the second-highest pass percentage of 77%. Rangareddy recorded the third-highest pass percentage of 75%. Other districts with the highest pass percentages are Karimnagar (72%), Mulugu (71%), Khamma (71%), Adilabad (68%), Bhadradri Kothagudem (68%), and Jagtial (68%).

Girls outshine boys

In all the 33 districts, girls outdid the boys in both first and second-year results. In Medchal, 81% girls and 72% boys passed in the first year whereas 84% girls and 73% boys passed in the second year.

In Hanamkonda, 81% girls and 67% boys passed in the first year and 82% girls and 72% boys passed in the second year. In Asifabad, 78% girls and 65% boys passed in the first year and 79% girls and 75% boys passed in the second year.

Out of the 33 districts, 32 secured a pass percentage of more than 50%. Medak secured 40% and 47% in the first and second years, respectively.

A total of 9,28,262 students had written the exam for the academic year 2021-22. Of these. 5,90,327 students passed. The overall pass percentage in the state is 65.19%.
