UoH professor selected for Fulbright-Nehru Excellence Award
He will be teaching ‘Media Economics and Management – Global and Indian Perspectives’ besides offering a three-day workshop on independent documentary film-making in India

Hyderabad: Dr. Sathya Prakash Elavarthi, associate professor in the department of communication at the University of Hyderabad (UoH), has been selected for the Fulbright-Nehru Academic and Professional Excellence Award for 2021-22.
The fellowship supports his visit to the University of Hartford, Connecticut, where he will teach the spring semester of 2022. He will be teaching 'Media Economics and Management – Global and Indian Perspectives' besides offering a three-day workshop on independent documentary film-making in India and hosting a couple of research talks.
Two other faculty members from the UoH department of communication – Prof. Usha Raman and Prof. P.K Manvi – have been awarded the prestigious award in the last 20 years.
