Elderly couple murdered in Vizag 

Visakhapatnam: Unidentified persons murdered an elderly couple and decamped with gold ornaments at Narava area in Vizag city on Wednesday night.

The victims have been identified as J Samudralu, 70, a retired RTC employee and his wife J Parvathi.

The police said unidentified persons stormed the house and killed the duo. The murderers later decamped with the gold ornaments.

Couple’s son J Veera Shankar later lodged a formal complaint with the police. A team of police led by Assistant Commissioner (West Division) J Swaroopa Rani rushed to the spot.

The police are suspecting that someone known to the couple might be involved in the crime. The police later shifted the bodies for autopsy.
