He is forced to face many difficulties and travel all over the town in search of the most demanded toy during Christmas after he forgets to buy it.

9) The Christmas Chronicles (2018)

Directed by Clay Kaytis, the film features Kurt Russell in the role of Santa Claus. The story revolves around two siblings Kate and Teddy Pierce, who hatch a scheme to capture Santa Claus on Christmas Eve. When the plan goes south, the kids join forces with a jolly Saint Nick (Santa Claus) and his loyal elves to save the holiday before it is too late.

8) KRAMPUS (2015)

Michael Dougherty directs this horror Christmas film, which may not be everyoneā€™s choice on Christmas. However, this is it for people who love horror and comedy. The story focuses on a boy and his family. Frustrated by the constant quarrel between the members of his dysfunctional family, Max loses interest to celebrate Christmas. He thus summons Krampus (the shadow of Santa Claus), a demon who will punish his entire family who disrespected Christmas

7) The Grinch (2018)

Directed by Yarrow Cheney and Scott Mosier, the film features Benedict Cumberbatch as the iconic and equally mean Grinch. The latter grows increasingly annoyed with the ever-growing festive joy that covers Whoville. He teams up with his dog to ruin the festive spirit by playing spoilsport.

6) Home Alone (1990)

This film is one of the most beloved Christmas movies of all time. Directed by Chris Columbus, the film has Macaulay Culkin as Kevin McCalister, who is accidentally left behind by his family as they leave for France. At first, he is happy to be in charge and be the man of the house, but when thieves try to break into his home, he has to put up a fight and save his home.

5) Die Hard (1988)

Die Hard is considered one of the best action flicks ever and is directed by John McTiernan and stars Bruce Willis as John McClane. While the film is not a traditional Christmas movie, it has a cult following that says otherwise. McClane is a Detective who lands in LA to spend Christmas with his wife. There, he learns about a hostage situation in her office building. Hans Gruber is the leader of the terrorist group, and John has to save his wife and other hostages by defeating the terrorists.

Directed by Joe Dante, the film has Zach Galligan as Billy Peltzer whose father gets him a pet from China with three precise instructions. However, when Billy does not follow them, it unleashes a horde of monsters that terrorise his home.

Sarah Smith directs the film that has James McAvoy as Arthur. When Santaā€™s gawky son Arthur learns that owing to a technical glitch a little girlā€™s Christmas gift has been misplaced, he sets out on a mission to deliver the present before it is too late.

2) Elf (2003)

Jon Favreau of Iron Man fame directs the film, featuring Will Ferrell as William ā€˜Buddyā€™ Hobbs. He is a human boy who was raised amongst elves at the North Pole. When he discovers that he is not an elf, he travels to New York to search for his biological family.

Directed by Robert Zemeckis, the movie has Tom Hanks playing multiple important characters. The film revolves around a young boy who boards a train and embarks on an extraordinary journey to the North Pole to meet Santa Claus. His life takes a turn after he encounters special people who become his friends on this fantastic journey.
