The first look of the film, which has been titled Master, has been unveiled on New Year. Undoubtedly, it has been winning hearts all over. The first look seems little confusing and sees Vijay in a tense mood, surprisingly. The poster seemed a bit blurred, raising expectations for the film.
Besides Vijay, the film also features Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi, Malavika Mohanan, Antony Varghese, Andrea Jeremiah, Ramya Subramaniam, Gauri Kishan, Brigada, Lintu Rony, Soundarya Nandakumar, Shanthanu, Chetan, Srinath, Sriman and Alagam Perumal.

The film has been making headlines since its announcement, and Lokesh Kanagaraj of Kaithi fame will direct Master. As per sources, Vijay will play a professor who has a mysterious past. Besides, unlike other films, where he usually plays younger roles, Master will see Vijay in a role true to his age.
Even more impressive, Vijay Sethupathi is playing the lead antagonist in this film. Varghese and Andrea’s roles will also be grey. Andrea will be doing a lot of action scenes for which she is undergoing specialised training.
While interacting with the media after the blockbuster Kaithi, Kanagaraj said, “I will not be making any compromise in my style of filmmaking. The next one with Vijay sir will also be my kind of film.”
Xavier Britto bankrolls the film under his XB Creators banner, and it is scheduled for release on April 2020. Vijay last appeared in director Atlee’s sports drama Bigil, bankrolled by AGS Entertainment. Bigil also starred Nayanthara, Jackie Shroff, Kathir, Yogi Babu and Vivek in crucial roles. The film has become one of the most trending topics on social media in 2019.
