Hyderabad: Ask any Telugu-speaking people to name their most-watched films and they will definitely mention 'Nuvvu Naku Nachav'. It's been 20 years since the release of the cult classic film and fans are celebrating this occasion on social media.

Starring Venkatesh and directed by K. Vijaya Bhaskar, the film was bankrolled by Sravanthi Ravi Kishore. 'Nuvvu Naaku Nachav' introduced Aarthi Agarwal as the leading lady to Telugu cinema.

The film was released on this very day in 2001 and was a massive success at the box office. It received immense appreciation and love from the audiences and the critics as well.

Suresh Productions took to Twitter to mark two decades of the film and wrote, "Thank you for immortalising #NuvvuNaakuNachav through your art ! ️ #20YearsOfCultClassicNNN #VijayaBhaskar #Trivikram #Brahmanandam @SravanthiMovies #AarthiAgarwal #Koti #SravanthiRaviKishore @PrakashRaaj @Mee_Sunil @Sirivennela1955 #BhuvanaChandra #SreekarPrasad." All the songs of the film went on to become chartbusters. Till date, these songs are a huge hit and the film has consistently recorded good TRPs every time it is telecast on television over the years.

'Nuvvu Naku Nachav' was a blockbuster hit because of its hilarious dialogues and wonderful performances by the star cast. Credit goes to Trivikram Srinivas for the dialogues. The comedic timing, expressions that have become memes now, and the brilliant comedy of Sunil, M.S Narayana, and Brahmanandam stole the hearts of many.

Even after two decades, the film still remains a favorite of many and serves as an example to upcoming directors and actors on how a healthy comedy film can, without hurting anyone's feelings, still win hearts and become a hit. Thanks and kudos to the makers for making such a beautiful film.
