Adipurush makers under pressure; push release date to monsoon 2023

Hyderabad: Rebel Star Prabhas is busy with back-to-back pan-India projects. One of the most-anticipated films among them is 'Adipurush'. Helmed by Om Raut, the film is based on the epic Ramayana. Kriti Sanon will play the role of Sita in the film.

The film's first looks and teaser were released a few days ago to mixed response. The filmmakers had announced that 'Adipurush' will release in 2023 Sankranthi. However, they later postponed the release date to summer 2023.

Now, the latest buzz in the industry is that the film has been postponed again. As per the reports, the film is not going to hit the theaters in 2023 summer. Reportedly, makers are under pressure to redo the VFX because of the response to the teaser. So, the team is going to re-do the entire VFX which would cost them approximately Rs. 100 crores.

This latest speculation has gone viral in no time, and this has come up as a disappointment to the fans. Also, it is said that makers may soon release an official statement regarding the same.

While Prabhas is playing Lord Rama in the film, Bollywood hero Saif Ali Khan will be seen playing the role of Ravana. Sunny Singh and Sonal Chauhan also have prominent roles in this expensive film that is bankrolled by T-Series Films and Retrophiles.
