Hyderabad: Aishwarya, the daughter of Super Star Rajinikanth and wife of versatile actor Dhanush, is a popular director. She made her directorial debut with Dhanush-starrer '3' and later directed the highly-acclaimed 'Vai Raja Vai'.
Now, she is all set to direct a film for producers SubasKaran and Mahaveer Jain for Lyca Productions. The film is going to mark her directorial debut in Telugu and with all the love she and her family have from the Telugu audiences, it is obvious that she is going to receive a warm welcome from Tollywood and the audiences as well.
Aishwaryaa said, "I'm so excited to be directing this film and with Lyca backing this project, our collective endeavour will be to bring a much needed, family entertainer for our pan-India audiences."
Aashish Singh, the CEO of Lyca Productions, said, "We are thrilled to have Aishwaryaa on board to direct our first Telugu production. We are confident that this film will captivate and entertain audiences across the country."
Details about the cast and crew of the film are yet to be announced but the production house will soon make it official.
Lyca, a leading film production house in the south, is popular for producing India's most expensive film '2.0' starring Rajnikanth and Akshay Kumar and many other big budget films. It is also producing Kamal Hassan's 'Indian 2'. In Hindi, it has funded Akshay Kumar starrer 'RamSethu' and 'Good Luck Jerry' with Aanand L. Rai and Jahnavi Kapoor. More are in the pipeline.
