Hyderabad: Kannada film 'Kantara' released last week in the theatres and is doing amazingly well at the box office. It collected Rs. 24.60 crores at the Kannada box office and Rs. 40 lakhs from other states. 'Kantara' is directed by Rishabh Shetty who also plays the lead role.

'Kantara' is the latest collaboration between Hombale Films and Rishab Shetty. Hombale Films, founded by Vijay Kiragandur, touched unprecedented heights in the last decade. With 'KGF', Hombale Films gained recognition as a leading production company at the national level. Still, Hombale backs stories rooted in the local milieu and caters to the common man.

On 30 September, 'Kantara' released in Kannada and received a tremendous response. The film is regarded as a "Divine" blockbuster, providing audiences with a magical experience in theatres.

This film is currently being dubbed and released in other languages. That being said, there is an exciting development. Leading film producer Allu Aravind has acquired the Telugu theatrical rights to Kantara through Geetha Film Distribution, which he will present under his Geetha Arts banner.

The makers also released the Telugu trailer which is filled with awesome moments. The trailer's bloodied action, Rishab Shetty's raw and rugged looks, and Ajaneesh Loknath's heart-thumping score has intrigued everyone.
