Amigos to Vedha: Here are the theatrical and OTT releases for this week

Hyderabad: With a bunch of films releasing on OTT platforms, the second week of February is all set to be an entertaining week for movie buffs. Also, there are a couple of films releasing in theaters. Here is a list of Telugu films that you can watch at home or even in the theaters:

Theatrical releases

Amigos

Starring Nandamuri Kalyan Ram in the lead role, the film is directed by debutant Rajendra Reddy and stars Kannada actress Ashika Ranganath. ‘Amigos’ will hit the theatres on 10 February. The film’s music is composed by Gibran.

Popcorn

This romantic drama will hit the screens on 10 February. It stars Sai Ronak and Avika Gor in the lead roles. ‘Popcorn’ tells the story of strangers who get stuck in a lift for 18 hours. The film is written and directed by Murali Gandham and produced by Bhogendra Gupta.

Vedha

Versatile Kannada actor Shiva Rajkumar’s ‘Vedha’ is releasing on 9 February. While the Kannada version of the film has already released in theaters in Karnataka on 23 December, the dubbed version is slated for release this month. ‘Vedha’ is directed by Harsha and produced by Geeta Shiva Rajkumar. It is the 125th film of Shiva Rajkumar. The film also stars Ghanavi Laxman.

OTT releases

Thegimpu

This film is one of the much-awaited films on OTT. Starring Ajith Kumar in the lead role, the film is directed by H. Vinoth and is one of the films that released during Sankranti. This Tamil action heist film is produced by Bollywood filmmaker Boney Kapoor and has Manju Warrier in a key role. ‘Thegimpu’ is said to have minted over Rs. 190 crores at the South Box office. It is now streaming from 8 February.

Kalyanam Kamaneeyam

This romantic comedy-drama stars Santosh Sobhan and Priya Bhavani Shankar in the lead roles. The film released in theatres on 14 January and is coming into the digital space. The film is written and directed by Anil Kumar Aalla and Karthik Ghattamneni and will stream on OTT from 10 February.

Nijam with Smitha (Talk Show)

The promo of the show has gone viral for all the right reasons. ‘Nijam with Smitha’ is a new talk show hosted by Smitha. Several Telugu dignitaries will appear on the show which will stream on a popular OTT platform from 10 February.
