Vijay Sethupathi, Taapsee Pannu's Anabelle Sethupathi goes to OTT; to stream from 17 Sept

Titled ‘Annabelle Sethupathi’, the film is set to release directly on Disney+Hotstar on 17 September. Ahead of the film's release, the filmmakers took to Twitter to release the first-look poster and the release date.

Hyderabad: Vijay Sethupathi and Taapsee Pannu have teamed up for a horror-comedy film. Titled 'Annabelle Sethupathi', the film is set to release directly on Disney+Hotstar on 17 September. Ahead of the film's release, the filmmakers took to Twitter to release the first-look poster and the release date.

The official handle of Disney+Hotstar tweeted, "@taapsee and @VijaySethuOffl in the same movie? This feels less like a cast and more like a treasure chest Streaming in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam from September 17 only on #DisneyPlushotstarMultiplex #AnabelleSethupathiOnHotstar #AnabelleRathore…" (sic).

In 2020, Vijay Sethupathi and Taapsee Pannu had joined hands for the horror-comedy film directed by Deepak Sundarajan, the son of veteran director and actor Sundarajan. The shooting of 'Annabelle Sethupathi' was wrapped up in less than a month in Jaipur.

Sharing the poster, Vijay Sethupathi wrote, "Here it is #AnnabelleSethupathi First look. Streaming from Sep 17th on @DisneyplusHSVIP."

On the work front, both Vijay Sethupathi and Taapsee, individually, have a bunch of films in their kitties. Vijay is hosting the Tamil culinary reality television show MasterChef Tamil. He will be seen playing a key role in filmmaker duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK's upcoming web series. The show will also star Raashii Khanna and Shahid Kapoor.

He will also be seen alongside Nithya Menen in '19(1)(A)'. This film marks his second Malayalam movie. Sethupathi is making his Bollywood debut with 'Mumbaikar', a remake of the Tamil movie 'Maanagaram'. Besides these, he just wrapped the shoot for 'Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal' which stars Nayanthara and Samantha Akkineni and is directed by Vignesh Shivan.

Meanwhile, Taapsee's recent outing 'Haseen Dillruba', co-starring actors Vikrant Massey and Harshvardhan Rane, was a huge hit. She is collaborating with director Swaroop RSJ for Telugu movie 'Mishan Impossible'. She also recently announced that her production banner Outsider Films will be signing its first production feature film 'Blurr'.
