Hyderabad: Director Venkatesh Maha is in trouble for making controversial statements and using vulgar language while talking about one of India’s most popular films that broke records at all box offices. Maha voiced his opinion about ‘KGF’ and here’s what happened.

Venkatesh Maha took part in a special interview with popular Telugu directors. Here, he voiced his opinion and said the plot of ‘KGF: Chapter 2’ is absurd and unconvincing. He said he did not like the fact that Rocky took all the money and dumped it in water instead of helping people in KGF. He said, “Is he not a neech kameen kuthe? He could have built houses for thousands of people (KGF workers), but he throws away the rest of the gold.”

After a snippet of the interview went viral, people have been trolling Maha for expressing his unpopular opinion on ‘KGF 2.’ Hashtags #KGF2 and #InsecureLoaferVenkateshMaha were trending on Twitter. Netizens and fans of KGF especially started demanding an apology from Venkatesh Maha.

Following this, the director shared a video on his social media account and said he will apologise for the language but not for his opinion. He said he regrets using such a language being a filmmaker and has no intention to target any language or cinema. “I apologise for my language, but I will not change my opinion. I must also clarify that I didn’t target any particular language or movie,” the director said.

Venkatesh Maha made his debut with ‘C/o Kancherapalem’ and also directed ‘Uma Maheshwara Ugra Roopasya,’ the Telugu remake of a Malayalam film. He directed a few episodes of some web series and is waiting for the release of ‘Anger Tales,’ in which he has acted.
