Buddy to Dhamaka: Netflix bags rights of big-ticket Telugu movies

There is good news for binge watchers. Most of the big-ticket Telugu movies of 2023 will be streamed on Netflix post their theatrical release.

Netflix stunned everyone by officially confirming the streaming of movies post the theatrical release.

A long list of films is waiting to hit the screen this year. Much before the release, audiences want to know on which OTT platforms these films will be streamed.

Netflix has acquired the streaming rights of the most-awaited films of 2023. These include Sandeep Kishan’s Buddy, Kalyanram’s Amigos, Sithara Entertainment’s Butta Bomma, Nani’s Dasara, Ravi Teja’s Dhamaka, Karthikeya’s next with UV Creations, Vaishnav Tej’s next, Naga Shourya’s next, Anushka’s next, Kiran Abbavaram’s Meter and the most talked about DJ Tillu sequel Tillu Square.

That’s like fireworks as the streaming giant never makes such official announcements about the films they are acquiring much in advance. Especially when it comes to Telugu movies, this is the first time Netflix gave such fireworks and it made the Sankranthi more special.

Release dates for none of these films have been announced yet. But much before that Netflix is increasing expectations among the audiences.

Along with the Telugu releases, the OTT giant announced the list of Tamil films as well. To people who watch films of all languages, it is going to be a feast very soon.
