Hyderabad: Actor Dhanush is on a signing spree and has announced films one after the other. The National Award-winning superstar will join hands with director Arun Matheswaran for 'Captain Miller', a period film set against the backdrops of the 1930s-40s.
The film is presented by T.G. Thyagarajan of Sathya Jyothi Films and produced by Sendhil Thyagarajan and Arjun Thyagarajan. This is going to be Dhanush's most expensive film and his fans are super excited.
Dhanush took to Twitter to announce the film.
The film is co-produced by G. Saravanan and Sai Siddharth. While director Arun Matheswaran has made a few critically-acclaimed movies, Sathya Jyothi Films has created an impeccable benchmark in the Tamil movie industry.
'Captain Miller' had created a huge buzz even before its official announcement, and Sathya Jyothi Films is nurturing this project with scrutinising efforts to deliver it as a phenomenal cinematic experience for the audiences. To ensure that the project shapes up well, the team has undergone a year of extensive pre-production.
In the announcement video, Dhanush makes an entry in style with his face covered with a mask and riding a motorbike holding a rifle on his shoulder. Dhanush's character name and title are revealed as Captain Miller.
Madhan Karky who worked for films like the 'Baahubali' franchise, 'RRR', and 'Pushpa' is penning dialogues for the Tamil version of the movie. G.V Prakash Kumar scored the music, the cinematography is by Shreyaas Krishna, Nagooran is the editor, and T. Ramalingam is the art director.
'Captain Miller' will release in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi.
