CM Revanth meets Ajay Devgan, Kapil Dev; hardsells `Rising Telangana'
New Delhi: Bollywood actor Ajay Devgan has proposed to establish an international-standard film studio in Telangana.
This follows his meeting with Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy.
In a separate meeting, veteran Indian cricketer Kapil Dev also expressed interest in contributing to Telanganaās growth story through major initiatives.
Ajay Devgn eyes World-Class Film Studio
After meeting Chief Minister Revanth Reddy at his official residence in New Delhi, Devgan shared his vision to build a facility equipped with state-of-the-art Animation, VFX, and AI-powered smart studios.
He also suggested setting up a skill development institute to train professionals across various verticals of the film industry, underscoring Telanganaās potential to emerge as a premier cinema infrastructure destination in India.
Devgan sought the state governmentās support to facilitate the project and assured that he would act as a brand ambassador to promote āRising Telanganaā through cinema and media.
Kapil Dev supports Sports University
Former Indian cricket captain Kapil Dev, who also met Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Monday, appreciated the stateās proactive initiatives for sports development.
During their discussion, CM Revanth Reddy briefed him about the proposed Young India Sports University in Telangana and elaborated on the governmentās efforts to enhance sports infrastructure and nurture talent across disciplines.
Kapil Dev lauded the Chief Ministerās vision and assured his support to make the Sports University a success. He expressed his keenness to collaborate in strengthening Telanganaās sports ecosystem and contributing to the broader goal of nurturing sporting talent.
Governmentās Strategic Push
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy informed both dignitaries about Telanganaās focused development approach across sectors, including recent insights gained from international visits to sports universities and discussions with global experts.
The meetings were attended by Ajit Reddy, Special Secretary to the Chief Minister, and Dr. Gaurav Uppal, Secretary for Coordination of Central Schemes.
