Hyderabad: After receiving a mixed response to his recent films 'Love Story' and 'Thank You,' Naga Chaitanya is reportedly looking for scripts that will bag him a hit. One such sure-shot script is 'Custody,' being directed by Venkat Prabhu. Naga Chaitanya and Venkat Prabhu's Telugu-Tamil bilingual movie 'Custody' is being mounted with rich production values and first-class technical standards and is one of the most expensive movies of Naga Chaitanya's career.
Srinivasaa Chitturi is producing this large-scale commercial entertainer on Srinivasaa Silver Screen banner, while Pavan Kumar is presenting the film. Krithi Shetty will star opposite Naga Chaitanya. The film will see Naga Chaitanya play a constable who wants to solve a case and for that, he goes against the police department.
The makers released the title and the first-look poster of the movie on Naga Chaitanya's birthday. They have received an overwhelming response. Naga Chaitanya's ferocious avatar as a cop has left everyone spellbound.
Meanwhile, the film's release date has also been announced. 'Custody' will release worldwide on 12 May 2023 and capitalise on the long summer holidays. The movie will release in Telugu and Tamil. Aravind Swamy is playing the antagonist in the movie which will also see Priyamani, Sarathkumar, and Sampath Raj in pivotal roles. The movie has music by the legendary father-son duo Isaignani Ilaiyaraaja and Yuvan Shankar Raja.
