Dhanush announces his next Telugu film 'Sir' with director Venky Atluri

Dhanush announces his next Telugu film Sir with director Venky Atluri

Hyderabad: There's some good news for the Telugu fans of actor Dhanush who have been waiting to see him in a Telugu film. Dhanush announced his next film which will be a bilingual project. The film is titled 'Sir' in Telugu while the Tamil title is 'Vaathi'.

The film is being directed by Venky Atluri and produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya Fortune Four Cinemas in Telugu and Tamil.

Dhanush took to social media to announce the title and share the poster of the film.

Naga Vamsi shared the motion poster on Twitter and wrote, "An ambitious & heartwarming journey of a common man. Presenting you @dhanushkraja in & as #Vaathi/#Sir."

Dhanush will be seen playing a junior college lecturer. The movie also stars Samyuktha Menon, Sai Kumar, and Tanikella Bharani. G.V Prakash Kumar has composed the music for the film and Dinesh Krishnan is the cinematographer. The shoot for the film will commence in January 2022.

Dhanush has another Telugu film in his kitty and it is being directed by 'Love Story' director Sekhar Kammula. The film will be made in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. On the work front, Dhanush has 'The Gray Man', 'Thiruchitrambalam', and 'Naane Varuven' in the pipeline. His 'Atrangi Re' with Akshay Kumar will stream on Disney+ Hotstar from 24 December.
