Exclusive: Prabhas joins heroes who take profits but not remuneration

Hyderabad: Prabhas is currently busy shooting for his upcoming films, Raja Deluxe and Salaar. The actor is rushing to finish both films to move on to the other projects. Prabhas has Adipurush slated for release in August, and the shooting of Project-K has been going briskly.

Raja Deluxe is directed by Maruthi and produced by DVV Danayya. Prabhas is said to be charging not even a single penny as remuneration but a good chunk from the profits the film is predicted to make at the box office. This is not a new trend.

Many Tollywood heroes are considering not charging remuneration for their films. Instead, they are staking claim over the huge profits the makers plan to generate through the star heroes. Mahesh Babu is undoubtedly one of them. He invests in the film through his home banner and takes home a fair share of the profits made in the film. Now, Prabhas has joined the list.

Prabhas, who has been getting remuneration of around Rs 100 crore for every pan India movie he is doing, is not charging for Raja Deluxe, surprising his fans.

This had happened earlier too, with Radhe Shyam and Saaho. Prabhas understood that the profits from his market would be much bigger than what he was getting paid as remuneration. Moreover, since Prabhas has not done a horror comedy movie like Raja Deluxe before, it is said that the actor is super sure about the profits the film will make.

Prabhas fans have come out in support of their hero, saying there is nothing wrong with this move and appreciated the heroā€™s thoughtfulness and effort.
