Hyderabad: Among all the genres that stream on OTTS, thrillers and crime-thrillers are the most popular. Three out of every five films that release on OTTs nowadays are thrillers. This week, here are three more thrillers that will surely entertain you. Well, all you need is patience till the story develops into the main plot.

Qala

Starring Tripti Dimri and Babil Khan in their debut roles, 'Qala' is set in the 1930s and 40s. It tells the story of a young playback singer who has a torrid past. Qala is always stressed and lives under pressure to perform her best. Her mother also has a lot of expectations from her and another signer, Jagan, threatens to end her life. As the story progresses, you see Qala getting more disturbed and the inner voice keeps telling her that something is definitely wrong here. It is currently streaming on Netflix.

Freddy

'Freddy' stars Karthika Aaryan in the titular role. The film's teaser created a lot of buzz when it was unveiled by the makers. This spine-chilling thriller has Alaya F. as the leading lady and is said to be a whirlwind ride of love, obsession, and drama. Kartik Aaryan plays psychopath dentist Freddy Ginwal who becomes obsessed with Kainaz (Alaya F), even holding her hostage at one point. Directed by Shashanka Ghosh, the movie is currently streaming on Disney+Hotstar.

Indian Lockdown

This movie is inspired by true events that happened in our country. 'India Lockdown' tells four parallel stories and charts the aftermath of the lockdown, resulting from Covid-19 that brought the entire country to its knees, causing huge personal and economic losses. The drama is directed by Madhur Bhandarkar and boasts of an ensemble cast, including Shweta Basu Prasad, Aahana Kumra, Prateik Babbar, Sai Tamhankar, and Prakash Belawadi. It is streaming on Zee5.
