Lata Mangeshkar

The 'Nightingale of India', Lata Mangeshkar, passed away on 6 February 2022 at Breach Candy Hospital Trust, Mumbai. She died due to multiple organ syndromes. She was one of the legendary singers of India and was popular for her songs in movies like 'Silsila', 'Faasle', 'Vijay', and 'Chandni'.

Bappi Lahiri

He is the one who popularized disco music in Indian cinema in the 80s and 90s. Bappi Lahari died on 16 February at the CritiCare Hospital in Juhu because of multiple health issues. He also composed music for several Telugu films, including 'Big Boss', 'State Rowdy', 'Rowdy Alludu', and 'Gang Leader'.

Krishnakumar Kunnath (KK)

Popular singer Krishnakumar Kunnath, fondly called KK, died hours after his concert in Kolkata on 31 May. He is best known for his debut album "Pal" and songs like "Aankhon Mein Teri" from SRK's 'Om Shanti Om'.

Raju Srivastava

The King of Comedy received treatment for almost 41 days in the hospital and breathed his last on 21 September. His unfortunate demise left a void in the world of comedy.

Krishnam Raju

Fondly called Rebel Star, Tollywood actor Krishnam Raju died on 11 September. He was 83. He served the Telugu industry for several decades with super-hit films. He also received the first Nandi Award for best actor.

Puneeth Rajkumar

Superstar Krishna

Another Telugu veteran actor, Chalapathi Rao, passed away at his residence on 26 December. He has acted in over 600 films, portraying various characters.
