By Bhavana Published on 18 Jan 2022 10:20 AM GMTHyderabad: If everything had gone according to plan, India's much-awaited films 'RRR' and 'Radhe Shyam' would have already been released by now. But due to the unexpected surge in COVID-19 cases which led to theatres being shut down, the films have been postponed.
Here are the tentative release dates of the films: 'RRR' is expected to hit the screens on 29 April while 'Radhe Shyam' might release on 18 March. These are the dates the filmmakers have in mind and are expecting things to get back to normal by then.
'Bheemla Nayak' will release on 25 February. The filmmakers have confirmed that there will be no further changes in the release date. Chiranjeevi's 'Acharya' which was slated for release on 4 February has been postponed to 1 April. Now that the Megastar is going to arrive in theatres on 1 April, the makers of 'Sarkaru Vaari Paata', the Mahesh Babu and Keerthy Suresh starrer, are looking forward to releasing the film on 13 May. If this date also doesn't work, they might postpone the film to either June or July.
These are the big films that audiences and fans have quite a lot of expectations from. Besides these films, Yash Shetty's 'KGF: Chapter 2', Thalapathy Vijay and Nelson's 'Beast', and Aamir Khan's 'Lal Singh Chadda' are also slated for release in April, as per the official confirmation.
With summer starting soon, which means holidays once again, makers of many big-budget films are planning to release their films during summer. But nothing can be predicted as COVID-19 cases continue to surge in the country.
