Hyderabad: Actor Shah Rukh Khan has been making a series of temple visits, seeking blessings in anticipation of the release of Jawan on September 7. As the release date draws near, Shah Rukh, along with his daughter Suhana Khan and co-star Nayanthara, visited the Sri Venkateshwara Swamy Temple in Tirupati. Accompanying Nayanthara was her husband, filmmaker Vignesh Shivan.

Images and videos from Shah Rukh Khan’s visit to Tirupati quickly went viral on social media. Dressed in a cream mundu paired with a short kurta and a matching stole adorned with a golden border, Shah Rukh offered his prayers at the temple. He warmly greeted devotees outside the temple with flying kisses and folded hands.

This isn’t the first time Shah Rukh Khan has sought divine blessings ahead of a film release. Last month, he was spotted at the Vaishno Devi temple in Jammu and Kashmir amidst tight security before the audio launch of Jawan in Chennai. Shah Rukh had previously visited the temple before the release of Pathaan in January of the same year.

Jawan, set to release on Thursday, marks Shah Rukh Khan’s return to the big screen after approximately eight months since the blockbuster Pathaan. Unlike his previous low-key approach to media before Pathaan, Shah Rukh has been actively promoting Jawan.

The film, directed by Atlee and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, boasts a star-studded cast, including Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Sunil Grover, Yogi Babu, and Ridhi Dogra, among others. Jawan will hit theatres in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.

The buzz surrounding Jawan is palpable, with expectations that it could become Shah Rukh’s second Rs 100 crore opener of the year, following Pathaan. The film might even achieve the remarkable milestone of crossing Rs 1,000 crore in the same year for the actor. Notably, the most expensive ticket in Delhi, sold at Ambience Mall, is priced at a staggering Rs 2,400, offering audiences the option to experience the movie in both 2D and IMAX formats.
