Kamal Haasan rises again; Vikram mints Rs 250 cr at the box office

Hyderabad: Kamal Haasan's 'Vikram' which hit the screens on 3 June has become a blockbuster hit in both Tamil and Telugu. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the film stars Kamal Haasan, Fahadh Faasil, Vijay Sethupathi, and Surya. Kamal Haasan, who also produced the film, is on cloud nine following the film's success.

All the credit goes to the actor for believing in Lokesh Kanagaraj and giving him the creative freedom as a producer and director. The film is breaking records and has entered the 250-Crore club. According to trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan, 'Vikram' minted Rs. 250 crores at the box office worldwide. He tweeted, "2022 Tamil Rs 150+ cr club - #Beast. Rs 200+ cr club - #Valimai. Rs 250+ cr club - #Vikram (sic)."
The film is expected to shatter more box office records in the coming days. Also, as per reports, the film broke Baahubali's collection records in Tamil Nadu. 'Vikram' is set in a multiverse with many characters connected to Lokesh Kanagaraj's earlier film 'Khaidi'. In 'Vikram', Suriya plays Rolex, the antagonist who is connected with 'Khaidi' and the upcoming movie.
