'Kanguva': Suriya to play never-seen-before character; film to release in 10 languages

Hyderabad: Actor Suriya is set to play a never-seen-before character. Suriya's next film, which went on floors last year, finally got a title. The makers have named the film `Kanguva’. The film also features Disha Patani, Yogi Babu, and others. It is written and directed by Siva and is up for release in early 2024.

The makers even released an announcement teaser giving us a glimpse of the mighty King. It looks stunning and gives hope that the Tamil cinema industry is coming of age.

Kanguva means a man with the power of fire and a saga of a mighty valiant hero. The film is being made in 10 languages. It will be in 3D and will release under the same title in all 10 languages. The film is produced by Studio Green K.E. Gnanavelraja in association with UV Creations’ Vamsi-Pramod.

The film is written and directed by Siva. Vetri Palanisamy is the director of photography. Music will be composed by Devi Sri Prasad.

Already 50 percent of the film is completed. The rest shall be completed in the coming months. The story revolves around a mighty valiant Hero in various avatars. It will be a mass entertainer that will connect with all types of audiences.

A high level of VFX and CGI will be used in the film. Post-production work is expected to take time and hence the film will release in early 2024.
