Karan Johar acquires theatrical distribution rights of Jr NTRs Devara in north India

MUMBAI: Filmmaker Karan Johar on Wednesday announced he will distribute "RRR" star Jr NTR's upcoming title "Devara" in north Indian territories through his banner Dharma Productions.

The film, directed by Koratala Siva, will be released in two parts with the first installment set to be released on October 10 this year.

We are proud to announce our partnership for the north theatrical distribution rights for the next big cinematic experience in Indian cinema! Man of Masses Jr NTR’s #Devara – in cinemas 10th October 2024,” read the statement.


Janhvi Kapoor who is doing her Telugu debut reposted Karan's update on her Instagram story.

Devara: Part 1 will be the first 2024 release of Jr NTR. The movie marks his return to the silver-screen post the global blockbuster RRR (2022). Saif Ali Khan has also joined the team as an antagonist, Prakash Raj, Murali Sharma and Abhimanyu Singh also play crucial roles in the action-thriller.

Earlier, the teaser of the film released depicts the rustic tone of the movie which is set in a coastal village in Andhra Pradesh.
