Keerthy Suresh, Radhika Apte turn ‘arch-rivals’ in OTT series by Yash Raj

Hyderabad: Keerthy Suresh is currently experiencing a highly exciting phase in her acting journey, with several promising projects on the horizon. Among the many projects in her name, the National Award-winning actress is poised to make her Bollywood debut in an upcoming action thriller featuring Varun Dhawan in the lead role.

In a recent development, Keerthy Suresh is gearing up for her debut in an OTT web series backed by the prestigious production company Yash Raj Films.

Keerthy Suresh is set to join forces with celebrated actress Radhika Apte for the eagerly-awaited web series titled ‘Akka.’ Directed by Dharmaraj Shetty and produced by senior filmmaker Aditya Chopra under the Yash Raj Films banner, the project is still awaiting its official launch.

The production of Akka commenced at the beginning of this week after an extensive pre-production phase lasting over six months. Described as a ‘deliciously devilish’ period thriller, the series will showcase Keerthy Suresh and Radhika Apte as arch-rivals. The ambitious project is slated to be one of the biggest tentpole web series ever produced by Yash Raj Films.

Details about the show, including the rest of the cast and technical crew, are being kept under wraps until the major portions of the series are filmed. The makers intend to reveal further information once the shooting progresses as planned, leading to a grand official launch.

On other fronts, Keerthy Suresh is set to star in the upcoming sports drama ‘Siren’ alongside Jayam Ravi and Anupama Parameshwaran. Additionally, she has completed shooting for Tamil projects such as ‘Kannivedi,’ ‘Revolver Rita,’ and ‘Raghu Thatha.’ The actress is also gearing up for her OTT debut with an upcoming Varun Dhawan starrer, tentatively titled ‘VD 18,’ produced by Atlee and scheduled for a summer 2024 theatrical release.
