Hyderabad: Bollywood film 'Mimi' which was released on Netflix in July has become a huge hit and Kriti Sanon and Pankaj Tripathi have been applauded for their performance. The surrogacy drama is set in Rajasthan and is produced by Maddock Films and presented by Jio Studios and Dinesh Vijan.

'Mimi' also stars Evelyn Edwards, Sai Tamhankar, Aidan Whytock, Supriya Pathak, Manoj Pahwa, and Jacob Smith among others.

The film has tons of humor and emotions and was well appreciated by critics and audiences. 'Mimi' is one of the best films released on OTT this year. With this film, Kriti Sanon has proved that she can pull off any role with ease.

According to the latest update, the film is being remade in Tamil and Telugu and reportedly actor Keerthy Suresh has been approached to play the lead role. The role of Mimi needs an actress who can portray emotions well and also has the girl-next-door look. Undoubtedly, Keerthy Suresh fits the role. However, it is yet to be confirmed whether she has accepted the offer.

A labor of love, 'Mimi' highlighted the struggle of a young Rajasthani dancer who dreams of making it big in Bollywood but chooses to be a surrogate mother at the request of an American couple. However, her life is a roller coaster ride. Kriti Sanon had to gain some weight for the film and this was stressful for her both physically and mentally. Let us see if Keerthy Suresh, who has worked hard on losing weight, will agree to play this role which demands her to put on weight.
