Directed by Farhad Samji, the film stars Venkatesh Daggubati, Bhumika Chawla, and Pooja Hegde in key roles. Hereās our review of this Salman-starrer:
Story
Bhaijaan (Salman Khan) loves his three brothers more than anything else in the world. He decides not to get married as he thinks his wife might separate him from his brothers. Bhagyalakshmi Gundamaneni (Pooja Hegde), a Telugu girl, comes to his home as a tenant and changes his perspective on marriage. Bhaijaan falls in love with Bhagya.
One day, goons attack them, and Bhaijaan comes to know that they are after Bhagya. Who is Bhagya? Why did the goons try to kill her? Who is Annayya (Venkatesh)? The movie has all the answers.
Analysis
So, this film is a remake of the Tamil film āVeeram.ā The same film was remade in Telugu as āKaatamarayuduā with Pawan Kalyan. Bollywood has been remaking a lot of films from the South and this is just another one from the lot. Well, this remake will entertain you only to a certain extent.
The emotional scenes work to an extent. The metro fight and the goons attacking Venkyās house are done well. The production values are good and so is the background score.
The film could have been a lot better. The story is outdated and it is visible. The connection between scenes and characters is missing. The climax is outdated, and the director could have written and executed it better.
It is high time Bollywood actors learn that not all remakes work. They need to come up with fresh scripts that will entertain the audiences and make some money at the box office.
Performances:
Salman Khan is known for making action entertainers. Once again, he is back with an action-packed thriller. The film serves a lot of fun and entertainment. Salman has done a good job and his acting was top-notch in the second half. Venkatesh Daggubati got a meaty role and his scenes with Salman will make the audience laugh throughout the movie. Those scenes are some of the best in the film.
Pooja Hegde has also done a good job. She looks beautiful. Bhumika is as good as ever. Jagapathi Babu plays the antagonist and he fits well in the role.
Moh (Jassie Gill), Love (Siddharth Nigam), and Ishq (Raghav Juyal) play the brothers and they all add some humour to the story. Shehnaz Gill and Palak have meaty roles. The songs are good to a certain extent and the BGM is good enough to enjoy.
Verdict: On the whole, this film is worth watching once if you are looking forward to watching multiple stars do some action on the screen.
