Konaseema Thugs: Hridhu Haroon & Bobby Simha steal the show in this entertaining thriller

Hyderabad: ‘Konaseema Thugs,’ an action thriller directed by Master Brinda Gopal hit the screens on 24 February and is garnering a positive response. The film has Hridhu Haroon, Bobby Simha, and R.K. Suresh in key roles and is released in multiple languages. Here is our review of the film:

Story

Seshu (Hridhu Haroon) is an orphan. He works for Peddareddy, the most dangerous man in Kakinada. Seshu falls in love with Koila (Anasvara Rajan) at first sight even though she is a mute girl living in an orphanage in the same town. Seshu wants to marry her and live a smooth life but gets arrested in a murder case. Along with Dora (Bobby Simha) and Madhu (Maneeshkanth)in Kakinada jail, he meets various people and makes acquaintances with all of them.

Seshu hatches a plan with them to escape from the jail. They dig a tunnel from the prison cell and try to escape. But how is it possible to dig a tunnel under the watchful eyes of the police? Do they manage to get away or are they caught? Will Koila and Seshu get married? You have to go to the theatres to know the story.

Review

Most of the movies that have come out lately seem to have a very routine and boring story. But ‘Konaseema Thugs’ revolves around one point. It is unlike the movies we have been seeing in recent times. ‘Konaseema Thugs’ entertains the audience for two and a half hours with its thrilling and interesting story.

The entire movie takes place in a prison. The story revolves around very few characters. The story is about how the hero, in a brutal environment, survives the circumstances to escape from prison. Director Brinda Gopal has crafted an interesting story about a hero who does not hesitate to go the distance if necessary. This is her second film as a director and she has really surprised the audiences with the twists in the plot.

The film does not focus on Seshu’s character for too long and also shows the stories of the other two characters, even if they are introduced to him in jail. The entire first half is devoted to developing this story. The story picks up speed after the interval when each character and their stories are introduced. The interval block increases interest in the second half.

The hero’s every attempt to escape feels close to reality, without being cinematic. Director Brinda has shot the movie in a way that it feels real. The story is entertaining and has all commercial elements without being boring.

Performances

This is not Hridhu Haroon’s first movie. This young hero has done two films in Hindi. Along with his excellent performance, he has tremendous dance skills. He is good at emotional and action scenes.

Bobby Simha who appears in the role of Dora also convinces the audience, as always. Anaswara Rajan who plays the role of Koila had done justice to the role. Anaswara, who was a child artist earlier, has proved her acting skills by playing the role of the heroine in this film.

On the whole, with the story on one side, emotions on the other side, action scenes, and excellent performances, ‘Konaseema Thugs’ is enthralling audiences in theatres. Producer Riya Shibu has spent a lot of money in the making of the film as they decided to leave no stone unturned.

Everyone who loves action thrillers must watch this movie. Don’t miss it.
