Hyderabad: Krithi Shetty who became popular with 'Uppena' has bagged another big role. She will now be seen playing a key role in Nagarjuna's upcoming film 'Bangarraju' directed by Kalyan Krishna Kurasala.

This film is the sequel to the blockbuster 'Soggade Chinni Nayana'. 'Bangarraju' has been making headlines ever since the filmmakers announced the project. The film has been on cards for a long time but was kept on hold due to various reasons. It finally went on the floors recently and the first single has already been released.

Akkineni Naga Chaitanya is also a part of the film and Krithi is playing his ladylove in the flick.

Naga Chaitanya himself revealed Krithi's first look and tweeted, "#Bangarraju is coming soon …ladies first :-) introducing @IamKrithiShetty as our Nagalakshmi .. Here's the first look @iamnagarjuna @IamKrithiShetty @kalyankrishna_k @AnnapurnaStdios @ZeeStudios_ ."

The film's new shooting schedule commenced recently in Mysore where some important scenes are being shot with the entire cast taking part in it.

'Bangarraju' is being billed as a wholesome entertainer laced with a good dose of romance, emotions, and other commercial ingredients. Expectations are quite high since it is the sequel for the blockbuster and Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya are working together for the second time.

Anup Rubens gives the soundtrack for the film and the first single 'Laddunda' has become a sensational hit. Zee Studios is co-producing the project with Annapurna Studios Pvt. Ltd. Nagarjuna is the producer. Satyanand has penned the screenplay while Yuvaraj handles the cinematography.
