Hyderabad: OTT platforms have become the next destination for movies released in theatres. As March comes to an end, several big films are all set to come alive on OTT from 31 March, and we have got you covered. Here are the best upcoming movies and web series releasing on OTT that you should check out:
Amigos (Telugu) - Netflix
Starring Kalyan Ram in a triple role, ‘Amigos’ is directed and written by Rajendra Reddy. Produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar under the banner Mythri Movie Makers, the action thriller released on 10 February but failed to get good collections at ticket counters like the actor’s previous film.
Ayothi (Tamil) - Zee5
The Tamil film ‘Ayothi’ released in theatres on 3 March. Upon its release, the movie received positive feedback from critics. Now, ZEE5 has acquired the digital rights of the film, and it will be available for streaming on the OTT platform from 31 March following its theatrical run.
Agilan (Tamil) - Zee5
‘Agilan,’ the Tamil film, is an action entertainer starring Jayam Ravi, who was last seen in ‘Ponniyin Selvan: I.’ The plot of the film revolves around a crane operator who is also the leader of illegal trade at the harbour.
Sridevi ShobanBabu (Telugu) - Hotstar
Starring Santosh Shoban and Gouri G. Kishan in the lead roles, the film is directed by Prasanth Kumar Dimmala. It released in theatres on 18 February. However, the film failed at the box office and now, it is all set for an OTT release.
Saathi Gaani Rendu Ekaralu (Telugu) - Aha
Mythri Movie Makers, the production house behind several Telugu blockbusters, is foraying into the streaming arena with their film Sathi ‘Gani Rendu Ekuralu.’ Directed by Abhinav Danda, the film stars Jagadeesh Bandari, best-known for playing Keshava in ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ (2021), as the lead.
Avatar: The Way of the Water (English) – Amazon Prime Video
‘Avatar: The Way of the Water,’ the grand spectacle film, will be available on the major digital platform Amazon Prime Video. Directed by James Cameron, the magnum opus turned out to be the third highest-grosser film in the world.
