Cinema Bandi: It is an upcoming Telugu comedy drama written and directed by debutant Praveen Kandregula. Produced by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K, the film stars various new actors. Set in a village in the Andhra-Karnataka border region, the film revolves around a group of young filmmakers try to make a film using a camera they found. The trailer of the film has received positive response and many celebrities have tweeted the same praising the makers of the film. It is streaming on Netflix now.
Check: Actor Nithiin's recent outing 'Check' is now streaming on Sun Nxt. Directed by Chandra Sekahr Yeleti, the film has Priya Prakash Warrier and Rakul Preet Singh as the leading ladies. The film couldn't garner good response in the theatres and the collections at the box office have been poor. The film revolves around a con artist who has been falsely framed as a terrorist and ends up in a prison with a death sentence. However, he never loses hope and tries to prove his innocence by winning the game of chess. 'Check' is produced by V. Anand Prasad under his banner Bhavya Creations.
Karnan: Another Dhanush starrer that released in theatres in the beginning of April, 'Karnan' was a huge hit and has received positive response from the audiences and critics. The film is directed by Mari Selvaraj and produced by Kalaipuli S. Thanu. It also has Yogi Babu, Lal, Natarajan Subramaniam, Gouri G. Kishan, Rajisha Vijayan, and Lakshmi Priya Chandramouli. This film marks the debut of Rajisha in Tamil cinema. It is streaming on Amazon Prime Video now. Though an official confirmation is awaited, fans of Dhanush are super excited to watch the film. Many have missed watching it in the theatres as the government of Tamil Nadu has allowed only 50 per cent theatre occupancy.
Nenjam Marappathillai: The film stars S. J Suryah, Regina Cassandra, and Nandita Swetha in lead roles. The Tamil horror film written and directed by Selvaraghavan is jointly produced by Escape Artists Motion Pictures and GLO Studios. Yuvan Shankar Raja composed the film score and soundtrack. The film is all about a pious young woman who takes a job as a nanny to a wealthy family and tries to stay out of the way of her married employer's perverse and lustful plans. It received praises from all over and there's a huge following for the same now. The film is streaming on ZEE5.
Battala Ramasamy Biopikku: The film is streaming on Zee5 from 14 May. Helmed by Ram Narayan, 'Battala Ramaswamy Biopikku' tells the story of a fictional character Ramaswamy, who has two ambitions in life - he wants to practice monogamy and lead his life like Lord Rama and he wants to shine in the business of selling sarees. But due to some unforeseen circumstances, he ties the knot with three women. Altaf Hassan, Shanthi Rao, Satvika Jay, and Lavanya Reddy play lead roles in this comedy-drama.
