Hyderabad: A Ludhiana court has issued an arrest warrant against Bollywood actor Sonu Sood in an alleged financial fraud case.
Judicial Magistrate Ramanpreet Kaur directed the Oshiwara police station in Andheri West, Mumbai, to arrest Sood and present him before the court.
Case Background
The case stems from a complaint filed by Ludhiana-based lawyer Rajesh Khanna against an individual named Mohit Shukla.
Khanna alleges that he was misled into investing ā¹10 lakh in a fraudulent cryptocurrency scheme. The complaint accuses Shukla of financial deception and also includes references to Sonu Soodās involvement in the matter.
Repeated Non-Appearance in Court
As part of the legal proceedings, the court summoned Sonu Sood to testify. However, he allegedly failed to respond to these summons, which led to the issuance of the arrest warrant. The next hearing in the case is scheduled for February 10.
The case now moves forward as law enforcement officials are expected to take action based on the courtās order.
